I got back from a family vacation in Iceland last night and the jet lag is real! It’s 12:30 EST and I’m a dead lady walking because if we were still in Iceland right now it would be 4:30 and our day would be winding down. I’ve been pretty productive today though! I unpacked all my stuff and before I tackle the laundry, I thought I’d round up some of my clean beauty faves for you because the Sephora Summer Bonus Event is on.

My Clean Beauty Faves
Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Full Coverage Concealer Fluid // Josie Maran is definitely one of my favourite clean beauty brands. Her products are known for including 100% pure argan oil that nourishes, protects and hydrates skin. My go-to concealer is buildable, blendable, provides high-coverage and lasts all day without getting cakey. I just dot it on target circles and areas with uneven skin tone. Then I use a a damp beauty blender to blend it all in..
Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara // My everyday basic mascara uses argan oil and bamboo extract to nourishand lengthen lashes. First, I curl my lashes and then apply two coats of this mascara and it lasts all day. I just wouldn’t use this mascara for sweaty activities like hiking or dancing.
Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation // I’m not a regular foundation-wearer, but when I do this is my go-to. It starts out white but adjusts to match your skin tone. It’s strange but it works. Also, it doesn’t settle in fine lines and the Argan oil moisturizes dry spots leaving skin smooth and even-toned.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask // Bite Beauty is another of my favourite clean beauty brands. Handcrafted in Toronto, these products are free of gluten and petrochemicals. I use this lip mask before bed to soothe and moisturize while I sleep. Don’t worry, the tint is very subtle and won’t stain your pillowcase. If you’re really worried about it, they do have a clear option as well.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick // These lipsticks use a low-heat process that preserves the nutrients, vitamins and omega oils that make this lipstick creamy and moisturizing. The pigments are bold and it even has a fresh citrus flavour! I want them in so many shades.
Kopari Coconut Deodorant // Kopari products start with 100% pure, organic, sustainably sourced coconut oil. They’re also vegan, sulphate, paraben, cruelty and phthalate free. I’ve tried several natural deodorants over the years and this is the only one I love. The coconut oil nourishes, hydrates and protects sensitive skin while charcoal draws out toxins from your pores. I feel and smell fresh all day but if I’m active or it’s hot outside I’ll often reapply it for peace of mind.
Kopbari Coconut Lip Glossy // I’m absolutely adore this lip gloss. It contains coconut oil, shea butter and squalane from olives. Weird right? This lip gloss makes my lips silky soft and it tastes good too!
Kopari Coconut Melt // You may think I’m ridiculous for buying a $37 jar of coconut oil but hear me out! Kopari’s premium coconut oil is 100% pure, organic, and unrefined and works way better that stuff from a grocery store. I just use as a body moisturizer and massage oil but it can also be used as a makeup remover, shave oil or belly butter if that suits you.
Coola SPF 30 Mineral Face Matte Tint // I wanted a non-greasy, clean sunscreen and this Coola BB cream is it. It’s lightly tinted, offers broad spectrum SPF 30 protection and leaves a silky matte finish. Plus its vegan, gluten, fragrance, and cruelty free. I actually use this as a primer underneath my makeup!
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 // Chemical, thermal and mechanical hair damage break the disulphide bonds in your hair. This treatment reduces breakage and strengthens hair by relinking those broken disulphide bonds. I use this treatment every week as part of my Sunday self-care routine. I just put it on damp, un-washed hair from roots to ends, put my hair up in a bun and go to bed. In the morning, I rinse it out before shampooing and conditioning as normal. It’s crazy that one product can make my hair look and feel so good without being greasy or weighted down!
Briogeo Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray // I use this leave-in conditioner every time I wash my hair. I spray it on my ends and then brush out my hair with my Wet Brush. The rosehip, argan and coconut oils detangle and tame frizz leaving hair soft and moisturized without being weighted down. It’s also free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicones, DEA and synthetic colour.
Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm // I’m a big fan of the double cleanse because I like a squeaky-clean face. I use this oil-based cleanser to melt away makeup and draw out impurities before using a water-based cleanser. It turns into a milky lather as you rinse and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy at all. Plus its vegan, sulfate, paraben, silicone and cruelty free.
Shade = Medium
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask // I just used this stuff for the first time after my flights to and from Iceland. It’s incredibly creamy, hydrating and leaves skin looking and feeling plump and renewed. You don’t even need to wash it off and it sort of acts like a makeup primer.
Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops // I gave up self-tanning years ago because while I like having a tan, I don’t like the chemicals in self-tanners. These tanning drops are great because you mix them with your own clean body moisturizer for a customized glow. I use 3 drops on each leg, 2 drops on each arm and 1 drop on my face for a sunkissed glow with no streaks or orange tones.
